Hardy The Wye 13-14ft 10 weight Salmon Rod

HARDY “THE WYE” PALAKONA 13'6" #10 SALMON FLY ROD – TWIN TIPS + ORIGINAL BAG

In very good condition and full working order, with the rod itself presenting beautifully throughout. A classic Hardy “The Wye” 13'6" #10 Palakona split cane salmon fly rod, complete with twin tip sections. The Wye is one of Hardy's best-known traditional double-handed salmon rods and was built as a powerful yet progressive rod for traditional salmon fly fishing.

At 13'6" and rated for a #10 line, this is a substantial traditional salmon rod with the length and power required for larger rivers and traditional double-handed casting. Complete with both original-style tip sections and its original Hardy rod bag.

Please note that the rubber butt-cap stopper/button at the end of the rod is still intact and usable, but is showing signs of age-related perishing. The remainder of the rod is in lovely condition.

A very attractive and increasingly collectable Hardy Palakona salmon rod which remains perfectly suitable for fishing as well as display or collection.

Please study all of the photographs carefully as they show the exact condition of the cane, ferrules, cork handle, reel fittings, rings, whippings, twin tips, butt-cap stopper and original rod bag.
